Let me get straight to the point. If you die tonight/now, where do you think your soul will end up? Hell or Heaven? And how confident are you?
If Heaven was your answer, are you confident that your good works outweigh bad ones? Please answer these following questions..
- did you ever lie, even if it is a white lie?
- did you ever looked at a person with lustful thought?
- did you hate someone?
- did you use/steal someones personal things without telling them?
If your answer is "yes" for at least one of the above questions, you had committed sin. Yes, 1 John 3:4 says "Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness." So wages of sin is death, as mentioned in Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord". From Adolf Hitler to Mother Teresa, no ones good deeds outweighs Gods righteousness. They both need to cleanse their sins either it is killing people or its simple childhood lies, everything counts as a sin. This clearly states that we all fall short of the glory of God as Romans 3: 22-23 says "For there is no distinction: 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God"
So now we know we all are sinners, whats the remedy? Who can redeem us from this sinful bondage and free us? Well, let's look into scriptures.
If you have answered Hell for my first question, keep reading☺

For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Redeemer : Christ Jesus
John 3:16 states God the Father sent Jesus to save all of us. We all need to trust in Him. He died for our sins and rose again on the third day. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."
Solution: Confess your sins
1 John 1:9 gives us a solution how to get rid of those sins. "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness". Because Jesus became a perfect lamb and died for our sins
What extent are my sins forgiven? Distance between east to west
Can you calculate the distance between east and west? It goes forever right? As Psalms 103:12 says "as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us" our sins are forgiven and taken care of completely.
So in summary, when we believe in Jesus, the Son of God as our Savior and confess our sins to him, He forgives us by His grace and grants us eternal life. Thereafter, we need to be in His Word and not continue in sin but glorify the Lord by our pure and sinless life.
To take your salvation to next level as Peter 2:38 says “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit."
